Hey Everyone!

I just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy New Year! I hope your year has been rich and full of experiences, and memories. And I wish you all the best for the upcoming year!

Thank you all for your friendship and support. I really appreciate it. Despite my infrequent posts, I rather enjoy the interaction we do have. You are an awesome breed of people - open, supportive, imaginative and just plain awesome. I shall endeavor to keep up with your journals, as well as my own slightly more frequently. I tend to only write in times of great confusion, emotional turmoil or frustration, and as a result, I miss out on a lot of lj.

So, this is a little overdue, but I am proud to say that:

I am FINALLY done high school!!!!!!!

I'll be off to university in September and will be living in residence, away from home for the first time ever! I'm ~~a little~~ VERY nervous right now, but also very excited. I think it should be quite fun.

Any advice?

On a completely different note. I am SO excited for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! I can't wait. Here are my official predictions:
- Snape is good
- Harry will die
- Ron will die
- Hermione lives

So anyway, it's been hectic lately. I've just been swamped with work and I've barely had time to do anything.

But anyway, my date agreed that I could sit with my friends for prom and so we've decided to sit separately and then hang out afterwards :P It was a good compromise.. he's a nice guy, so I'm glad for that.

And you'll never guess where I got my prom shoes... at Walmart! That place seriously has treasure at times. I found my most recent favourite shirt there as well as a variety of sandals and shoes. And it's all cost-efficient. Hahaha.

But anyway, that is all for now cos I've gotta go.

Calculus :S

One of my closest friends, if not the best, was in a very bad mood today. I have a calculus test that I need to pass tomorrow.

So, me being the idiot that I am, decided to chill with my best friend and make her feel better. As such, I haven't studied at all and am kind of screwed for tomorrow's test.

I detest related rates, maximum and minimums on an interval, optimization and cost problems. They SUCK.

Guh. I suppose it's my fault though, for going out.

Just a Long Overdue Update. xD

So, an update is very long overdue. At the moment I feel rather drained. All I've been doing as of late is work, work and more work. And after this year, I expect it'll only get worse. Hahaha.

I've got a calculus test tomorrow. Should be okay, but I need to do well cos the last test I had, I got 52%. How bad is that? xDDD Hehehe.

As for Steve, I think I was too.... needy? I think I annoy him. So as of now, I'm going to give up on him. I'll settle for friends, but I'm no longer going to go out of my way to talk to him in person or on msn.

As for everything else, life's been pretty boring as of late. Not very much to report and not much happening.

I've seen a few movies lately though:

Latter Days - Gay movie with a Mormon guy and a flambuoyant gay guy. It's kind of unrealistic, but it's still very sweet. Haha, and it didn't hurt that both guys were decent =P So, I liked this movie. I saw the whole movie on youtube actually. xD Just type in "Latter Days" and it should show up. :)

Children of Men - This movie was brilliant, really. I absolutely adored it. It was well written, well performed, and just a very good movie. Sad, but very good. Although it was fiction, there was a realism to it because it was very well made. S'good movie. Very good movie. I would definitely recommend it.

As for other things, I hate my World Issues teacher. In class, I'm very quiet because I prefer to listen and take in what people say. That, and I'm shy with actually speaking myself. With this teacher, the only way to ensure that you'll get a good mark is if you're one of the loudmouth people who don't shut up. It sucks. I mean, yes, communication is key, but in terms of marks, it is not something that teachers are entitled to dock marks for. But with her, speaking is the majority of your mark. I don't want to be penalized for being shy. I just can't help it. It's in my nature to be. If you want to give a few extra marks for class participation, sure, by all means, but what she does is unfair and injust. RAAAAAAA. I hate her. >=( </rant>

Anyway, on the upside, I got into 4 of the 8 universities that I applied for, WHOOO!!! I'm so glad. =D Now, all I have to do is pass calculus. I'm happy because 3 of the 4 were my top 4 and so I'm really happy for that. =D I'm going into business, by the way. xD

My God... I'm so tired right now, honestly...

WHY do I do these things?

Actually, it's just one thing. Procrastination. Because of it, I've been up for 60 and a half hours now for no reason other than I procrastinated and now have a shitload of work. And on top of that, when I'm working now, I'm STILL procrastinating, going on things like facebook, livejournal, youtube and the like.

WHY MUST THE INTERNET BE SO ENTERTAINING?!

But that's not all. Even if the internet's disconnected, there's still spider solitaire, solitaire, hearts, freecell, minesweeper and pinball. Which I play in large quantities... on an almost daily basis. And it's guaranteed if I have work to do... like right now, LOL.

Anyway, I can't wait 'til this week's over. Then, I'll be able to relax just a little bit more. Hahaha.

But anyway, I'm head off for some much needed ZzZs. I'll update on something other than sleeping and procrastination tomorrow, when my brain's more functional, lol. xD

What I've Been Up to

I feel like I haven't updated properly in ages. So, I will do so now, and then endeavor to catch up on everyone's journals.

So I got drunk for the first time ever last thursday on the 21st? Haha, I got some drinking advice from Steve, who said that since I'm relatively small and Asian, that I should'nt exceed 5 shots of vodka.

What we did at the party I went to was mix our shots with juice. Bad idea for me, cos I mixed three shots with my first glass and basically chugged it. Then I had another with two shots. By the end of it, I was feeling very drunk and ended up throwing up... seven times. xD

I guess now I know not to drink 5 shots in half an hour... on an empty stomach... being asian... and small. LOL.

T'was definitely an interesting first experience though. We ended up playing I've never. It was nowhere as raunchy as maxine_chan's BRILLIANT Starts with a Spin, but it was fun. I'm not nearly as horny as I thought I would be when drunk. The only thing I said was, "I've never shaved my pubes." and "Oh, wanna see my legs?" XD

Otherwise, my conversation remained innocent. Very slow-witted, but innocent. hahah.

Anyway, aside from that, I had a Christmas dinner on Christmas, which was smashing. My cousins, all have children now so I got to play with and spoil three little babies. They were absolutely adorable and so cute. Two of them are almost two and one is only 8 months. They were all so cute. Haha and one of them kept on trying to share his toys with me. =P It was very cute :3

So I got a fairly good haul of gifts this year. Mostly money, but some nice clothes too as well as some random stationary and cosmetic items. xD

I didn't end up giving a gift to Steve, because I was too shy and chickened out, BUT, I still gave him a card, which I got two hugs for. =) <33

At any rate, I don't think much else of importance has happened. So I'll just end with wishing all of you great holidays. Happy Holidays all!

Drank alcohol for the first time, ever. That was yesterday, actually. LOL. I puked my guts out.

I kept most, I couldn't complete some but yes. I did, and will probably make more for 2007.

Movie Reviews

I should honestly update more frequently. Anyway, I watched some movies lately. XD

Stranger than Fiction: It was a cute movie. It wasn't terribly exciting and there were no twists. It was really predictable, but hey, it was one of Will Farell's better movies. I'm not a big fan of his work, but my friend dragged me out of class to see it with him, so I let him. Lol, it was a cute movie. =P

The Departed: I loved this movie. It had some really really good twists and turns and it was very well made. Everyone acted well and the action sequences were realistic. None of that 'when people get shot they last for like 5 minutes, feebly saying their last wishes before finally keeling over and dying' rubbage. lol. I thought it was very well made with no plot holes. I loved it and definitely recommend it. =)

Girl With a Pearl Earring: I actually liked it. I was afraid I wouldn't because I had read the book, but I liked it. It was missing a lot of major details and the order was a little different but it was almost like watching a different version of the book. I liked it. Despite the few lines everyone had, it was well executed. =p

Dogma: I watched this cos my teacher said my Halloween costume reminded him of it. I really liked it. It was interesting and funny and witty. =D Although... I'm not sure if my teacher meant that I looked like the angels or the... stripper/muse. loll. But yeah, I really liked it, despite its slight oldness. xD

Love Actually: I love this movie. It's so heartfelt. I've seen it before, of course, but it's just so sweet. I really like it. It's one of my favourite Christmas movies. All of the stories told within the movie are just lovely and it just makes you feel warm inside. <33

So I've gotten around to reading a few books lately; Memoirs of a Geisha and Girl with a Pearl Earring.

Girl With a Pearl Earring: This book was surprisingly good, considering the plot given. It didn't have much intimacy, but it was better that way and I dunno, I just really liked it. =P I loved the tension between Griet, Vermeer and Pieter. Now I have to see the movie version with Scarlett Johanssen.

Memoirs of a Geisha: This was also a good book. I was told it was incredibly boring, but I actually really liked it. It was different from the movie in terms of parts of the plot, but it was a really good read nonetheless. I definitely reccomend it. =D

Halloween and Field Trips

Okay. So there was a change in plans. I didn't end up dressing up as a vampire today... instead, I'm a rockerish person with reddish wings and mascaraa... XD I dunno. It's not very halloweenish. My more honest of friends have informed me that I look like a cheap whore. XD

Pictures will follow once I'm home and have uploaded pictures. XD I forgot my camera today so i have to wait until I get home to take pictures to my heart's content.

Anyway, not much happening. I'm going to try to take a field trip to gay Toronto for my build-your-own course, course... only thing is, my parents are uneasy about it, so I'll have to ask a teacher to come with me. lolll... wish me luck with that! :S

Lol, so anyway, I'm going out for Halloween again this year... trick or treating... sort of. But it's for charity and I'm collecting canned foods, so hopefully, all goes well. XD I'm going to be a vampire! But hopefully a nice one. XD My friend's doing my makeup cos I'm makeup retarded. XD

ZOMG. It's so cold outside lately. And uncharacteristically so. >=( Usually in Canada, it doesn't snow until at least mid-November, but this year, it's already snowed twice in Toronto! TWICE! Boredom Galore

So I'm at the school computers atm... which suck. My mouse doesn't work so I've just been trying to use the net without a mouse... which is a bitch. Argh. Lol, it's pissing me off. And on top of that, the keyboard is screwy and all of the keys are hard to press down. Lol, it's a tedious affair.

Anyway, I'm bored. Lol, and I can't think of anything to say. Hmmmm... oh! Was watching QaF last night... and I'm not very impressed. Brian's become... too nice to Justin in the 2nd season... tell me he hasn't been tamed, please. Cos if so... I dunno. It would just seem too easy, y'know? xD
